YUANLIN INTRODUCTION
In the beginning, our ancestry bring wasteland under cultivation in Yuanlin Township. Here was the forest before. Our ancestry reclaim outside of the forest and left circular woodland as memorial. That is the reason why we call it Yuanlin.

LOCATION
Yuanlin is located in the east side of Changhua Plain. The whole area is a plain except Bagua Hill, which nears the Nantou County. The location of the township is at East Longitude 120 33 52 E. Longituyde and North Latitude 23 57 43 N. Latitude. It is 3.5 kilometers away from Bagua Mountain in the ease and 23 meters of altitude. The crossing railway and Tai. 1 Highway pass through the area. The south of the area lies Ba Bao Dam, which was excavated by Shih Shih-Bang(in Kang Si 58,1719) to introduce the water of Jhuoshuei River for irrigation. The area enjoy convenient traffic and abundant produce. It is a major economic place. The agricultural produces include starfruit and guava. The food processing industry and producing industry are the major business in town. Most local habitants work in the industrial and commercial business and have religion in San Shan Guo Wang, Tian Shang Sheng Mu and Land God.
